Reiki is a soothing, non-invasive practice designed to promote balance, relaxation, and healing by channeling universal life energy. My training is rooted in the Usui lineage and enhanced by the transformative Holy Fire techniques. Reiki has evolved as a powerful tool for fostering well-being on all levels—emotional, physical, and energetic.
As a Reiki Master, I provide both in-person and distant reiki sessions. These personalized experiences are intended to help you release tension, restore harmony, and reconnect with your inner sense of peace.
Reiki (pronounced "ray-key") is a Japanese healing practice developed in the early 20th century by Dr. Mikao Usui. The word "Reiki" translates to "universal life energy," referring to the energy that flows through and around all living things. This energy is believed to play a key role in our overall well-being, supporting physical health, emotional resilience, and mental clarity.
During a Reiki session, the practitioner channels this universal energy through their hands, either lightly placed on or just above your body. This process helps to clear energetic blockages, restore balance, and promote the body’s natural ability to heal itself. While Reiki is rooted in spiritual traditions, its effects can be experienced by anyone, regardless of their beliefs. This process doesn’t require belief in spirituality or holistic methods to be effective—it’s about creating a calming environment that allows your body to relax and recalibrate, which is essential for healing.
Reiki works by addressing the subtle energy fields that surround and permeate the body. While some describe this energy in spiritual terms, others may view it through the lens of relaxation and stress reduction. From a physiological perspective, Reiki sessions activate the parasympathetic nervous system—the “rest-and-digest” mode—which can lower heart rate, reduce blood pressure, and encourage deep relaxation. Many people report feeling calmer, more grounded, and refreshed after a session.
Reiki complements conventional medical and therapeutic approaches. It is increasingly used in clinical settings to reduce pain, alleviate stress, and support emotional recovery, making it accessible to those who may not consider themselves "spiritual."

In person
An in person reiki session typically lasts 60 minutes and takes place in a quiet, comfortable setting. Here’s what you can expect:
Distant
A distant reiki session is a virtual treatment that involves:
· I meet you on the mat at our scheduled time in our respective locations. If you aren’t free during that time that’s okay. If you are free, going into a meditative state and/or being on a yoga mat can be a supportive way to soak up the distant magic.
· I take a few minutes to ground myself and connect with your energy and intention (if you shared that ahead of time).
· For approximately 30 minutes I’ll be offering distant reiki which may include using a pendulum to check in on your chakras and help find any blockages
· At the end of our session I will pull a card to see if there is further wisdom that needs to be shared.
· I will send you a thorough follow up email sharing this insight and anything that surfaced during your treatment.
Psychotherapeutic reiki is an innovative blend of Reiki energy healing and counselling techniques. In these sessions, I integrate the calming, restorative benefits of Reiki with evidence-based therapeutic methods. This approach may include mindfulness exercises, somatic awareness, and guided self-reflection, all while energy work supports emotional balance and healing. This creates a safe and supportive environment to:

These sessions are tailored to your unique needs and are guided by your personal goals for healing and growth. For example, if you’re exploring past traumas in counselling, Reiki can help soothe your nervous system and provide a sense of safety and calm. This synergy allows for deeper emotional processing and healing in a way that feels supported and holistic. Reiki can be incorporated into your counselling appointment. Make sure to mention your interest in this when we chat. See the Counselling section to book.
